The aim of the research was to understand how Romanians perceive Ukrainian refugees 16 months after the beginning of the armed conflict and to identify factors that may support or undermine cohesion between the two communities. The ultimate goal is to provide actors involved in humanitarian crisis management with relevant data to improve long-term interventions and programs.

Fewer and fewer Romanians believe that the state should provide full integration and financial support
Increased support for access to basic health and social services
Level of trust in media and official sources has decreased in favor of information from personal networks
Perceived social tensions relate to economic competition, access to resources and the idea of 'preferential treatment' for refugees
