Summary/Abstract:

The report from Parava commune, Bacău county, explores health literacy and access to healthcare services for people with cardiovascular disease and diabetes. The study was based on 200 questionnaires and used the OPHELIA methodology to group participants into 14 categories with different needs and resources. The analysis shows that although most people are registered with a family doctor, many find it difficult to understand and apply medical recommendations. Socio-economic factors, low levels of education, and limited access to information sources affect the management of chronic diseases. The KAP module confirms high uncertainty and a lack of consistent self-care practices. The report proposes co-creation workshops, tailored health education, and measures to support the community in reducing inequalities and improving health.
