Summary/Abstract:

The study conducted in Drăgești, Bihor County, analyzes how health literacy influences the prevention and management of cardiovascular disease and diabetes. The research, conducted on a sample of 200 people and applied using the OPHELIA methodology, identified 15 different types of literacy profiles, described through vignettes. The results show that although many respondents communicate well with healthcare professionals and have access to information, there are still difficulties in terms of self-care, physical activity, and regular health monitoring. The report highlights the role of social, economic, and cultural factors and recommends community-tailored educational programs and interventions. These findings provide a starting point for public policies to reduce inequalities and improve health at the local level.
